Please beware of a scam involving employment opportunities with COMCAST as a data entry clerk. Victims have been contacted via Facebook messenger. The scammer offers to pay off credit cards or deposit money into your account and they may ask you to purchase gift cards for them. The checks they use to make payments or deposits are fake/fraudulent and the victim is left owing the balance when the checks are returned. To protect yourself: 1. never communicate with someone on Facebook (or any social media) about important things like employment and money. 2. Never share your Netteller ID and password with anyone. 3. Trust your instinct. If something feels a little off, stop and call a trusted friend or the bank for a second opinion before you take any actions. Stop. Think. Connect.
