First Citizens Bank respects your privacy.Through our Web site, we strive to provide valuable information to you about how we may serve you. It is the policy of First Citizens Bank that both the financial records of our customers and the relationships with First Citizens Bank and our customers are confidential. First Citizens Bank collects, retains and uses information about its individual customers and their relationship with us only where the bank reasonably believes it would be useful (and to the extent allowed by law) to administering our organization's business and to provide products, services and other opportunities to our customers. The collection of such information allows us to better serve our customers’ needs by offering products and services that we feel may be the most beneficial to you.

At our discretion we may communicate information solely about our transactions or experiences with you to persons related to us by common ownership or affiliated by corporate control. We may also, at our discretion, communicate other information to these same persons, unless you direct us in writing to not exchange this other information.

Please note that information about certain transactions or experiences with our customers may be shared with our affiliates and other third parties as permitted by the Fair Credit Reporting Act. There may also be instances where we may be legally required to disclose information about our customers. It is the policy of First Citizens Bank to cooperate with governmental agencies in their properly made, legitimate requests for information, such as a subpoena or court order, in order to prevent fraud, or to comply with such governmental agencies or federal regulators. Under these circumstances, only the specific information required by applicable law, subpoena or court order will be disclosed.

First Citizens Bank has established procedures to ensure that our customers’ financial information is accurate, current and complete in accordance with reasonable commercial standards. We will respond to any requests to correct inaccurate information in a timely manner.

Limiting Employee Access to Information
First Citizens Bank limits employee access to personally identifiable information to those with a business reason for knowing such information. Following strict guidelines, employees are allowed access to the information needed to perform their job functions and to carry out our goal of providing quality customer service. Our employees have been provided with our bank's Customer Confidentiality Policy and are educated so that they understand the importance of confidentiality and customer privacy issues. We have appropriate disciplinary measures in effect to enforce employee privacy responsibilities.

Restrictions on the Disclosure of Account Information
First Citizens Bank does not reveal specific information about customer accounts or other personally identifiable data to unaffiliated third parties for their independent use, except for the exchange of information with reputable information reporting agencies to maximize the accuracy and security of such information or in the performance of bona fide corporate due diligence, unless the information is provided to help complete a customer- initiated transaction; the customer requests it; the disclosure is required by/or allowed by law (i.e. subpoena, investigation of fraudulent activity, etc.); or the customer has been informed about the possibility of such disclosure for marketing or similar purposes through a prior communication and is given the opportunity to decline (i.e. "opt out").

Maintaining Customer Privacy in Business Relationships with Third Parties
If personably identifiable customer information is provided to a third party, First Citizens Bank will insist that the third party adhere to similar privacy principles that provide for keeping such information confidential.
