Welcome to First Citizens Bank!

We are pleased to welcome First Lowndes Bank customers to First Citizens Bank. Working together with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), First Citizens Bank has assumed the deposits and purchased the assets of First Lowndes Bank from the FDIC and now stands behind all of your accounts.

It is important to us that you continue as a satisfied customer. As we work together to ensure a smooth transition, we want to provide you with some information regarding your accounts:

• You may continue to access your funds as usual using your First Lowndes Bank checks and ATM/debit cards.
• Your direct deposits and automatic payments will continue as scheduled..
• You can continue to access your accounts online and through your telephone banking service..
• You can continue to contact your bank at all former First Lowndes Bank locations..
• Your accounts transferred to First Citizens Bank will be separately insured for at least six months (September 19, 2010) after First Citizens Bank's purchase of assets and assumption of liabilities of First Lowndes Bank. This grace period gives a depositor the opportunity to restructure its accounts, if necessary.
• Interest on all deposits accrued through March 19, 2010, will be paid at your same rate. First Citizens Bank will review rates and notify you if interest rates will change. Your interest rate may be reduced.
• You may withdraw funds from any transferred account without an early withdrawal penalty prior to maturity, until you enter into a new deposit agreement with First Citizens Bank. Entering into a new deposit agreement can be done by either renewing your CD or making a deposit or withdrawal from your account.
• All mortgages and loans have been assumed by First Citizens Bank. Your payment amount and due date will not change. If you are having your payment deducted from your account, it will continue as it has in the past. You should continue to make your checks payable to First Lowndes Bank and send your payments to the same address.
• You can claim the contents of your safe deposit box at any time. It is business as usual.
